"Through my Eyes" Photojournalism Project
CAP worked with Jacob's Ladder Neurodevelopmental School and Learning Center (JLNSTC)during summer semester. The participants are members of JLNSTC's "Openings" class, a small group of teenagers who express mid-high functioning levels of autism. We used photography to build their artistic and academic skills,as well as to encourage healthy interaction with the environment. The semester culminated with a special opportunity for the students to participate in a group photo exhibition where clebration and praise aided in each student's sense of accomplishment.
This classroom experience was made possible with the donations of film and photographic equipment by TCP patrons and sponsors.
